CUTLERY CONTAINER

This cutlery container was created during my studies at the ZHdK. In this module, the focus was on metalwork. Accordingly, the object had to be largely made of metal and serve as a container for some kind of object. As I take food from home with me most of the days, I often need to carry cutlery with me. I decided to design a container for a fork and knife. I used an aluminum tube as a starting point. For hygiene reasons and appearance, I drilled 72 holes in the tube. This allows excess water on the cutlery to dry better and the object appears lighter and more airy. The base and lid are made of hard, water-resistant wood. The lids are made of bent sheet metal and rubber bands.
